The archaeological site of Delphi is traditionally associated with the oracle of Apollo at the expense of lesser known phases of its history like that of Late Antiquity. The excavations at the South-East of the Peribolos of the ancient sanctuary and the comprehensive study of their findings which are presented here begin to fill this gap; they also confirm for this area the spectacular development that the city of Delphi generally underwent during Late Antiquity. Thus, this volume presents the history of a complex habitation dating from the 4th to the 6th c. AD, its re-occupation by workshops at the end of the 6th and the beginning of the 7th c. AD and its sudden and final abandonment during the 7th c. AD. In this way this study allows us to reintegrate Delphi into the norms of Late Antique Greece as far as the history of the civic architecture is concerned and particularly the domestic one"--
