It's 1944 and Tim, age 19, has just become an Army cook. The 600 boxes of powdered eggs that go missing overnight, the soldier who for some unknown reason collects unneeded parachutes -- Tim and his new comrades find themselves solving the little mysteries of ordinary life under extraordinary circumstances.
