When Dennis's desire to move from London to Epsom breaks up his and Ella's marriage, Ella loses all pride in her appearance until her mother gets her a job in the local British Legion. When Dennis turns up for a drink one night he is taken by surprise, and remembers what attracted him to her in the first place.
