The author explores the close relationships that exist between a cabin, its occupants, and its setting. Among the twenty-nine cabins included is a cabin project by Frank Lloyd Wright; a restored Indiana log cabin owned by architect Anthony Belluschi; a depression era log cabin; and one designed for the sole purpose of bird watching.
