Beleval (literary criticism, 1979), Quíntuples (drama, 1985), La importancia de llamarse Daniel Santos (novel, 1988), La guagua aérea (essay, 1994), No llores por nosotros Puerto Rico (essay, 1997), Devórame otra vez: artículos de primera necesidad (essay, 2006), Indiscreciones de un perro gringo (novel, 2007), among others. Most recently, in April 2013, Luis Rafael Sánchez received the first ever Pedro Henríquez Ureña literary prize recognizing his life's work awarded by the Government of the Dominican Republic.
