The collection documents the work of the Presbyterian Church of England Foreign Missions Committee and the Women's Missionary Association in China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and India. Included are correspondence, reports, minutes, manuscripts, etc. from 1847-1950. Special subjects include opium trade, coolie trade, treaties and life in the treaty ports, Japanese colonialism in Taiwan, Chinese nationalism in the 1920's and the Sino-Japanese War.
