This book is a simplified version of a famous Haitian play. There are vocabulary building exercises following each dialog, and lovely illustrations. Also included in the book is a picture dictionary with line drawings, and a collection of Haitian proverbs. This is a GREAT book for an intermediate student, or for a beginning student who will work hard or who has a more advanced Haitian speaker to help. Recently, Jean Mapou of Little Miami, FL, has written a drama based on this same play.
