Arte y política
Work detail
The author deals with the diversity that existed in the arts of action in the Latin American cultural and intellectual context in the mid-twentieth century through the trajectory of three Uruguayan female artists: Teresa Vila, Graciela Figueroa (ballet dancer, director and choreographer) and Teresa Trujillo (visual artist, dancer and choreographer), where the importance of the body, the taking of public spaces and the various ways of articulating artistic experimentation and forms of intervention in the political sphere constituted powerful forms of political intervention in the Latin America of the 1960's and 1970's with global projection.
