Art nouveau =
Work detail
Through a wide range of different forms and names - Sezessionstil in Austria, Jugendstil in Germany, Nieuwe Kunst in the Netherlands, Modernismo in Spain, Modern Style in England, Art Nouveau in France and Liberty or Floral Style in Italy - the Art Nouveau movement rejuvenated the various art forms from Europe and the United States between the end of the nineteenth and beginning of the twentieth centuries. The book, with 550 images, illustrates the characteristics of the art movement, with chapters dedicated to architecture, painting, sculpture, graphic art, applied art and interior decoration. Biographies of the main artists and an index of names conclude the volume.
