Tenu' ot ha-no' ar ha-Tsiyoniyot ba-Sho ah (eng.) Zionist Youth Movements During the Shoah
Work detail
During the Shoah, when six million Jews perished, many of them made significant efforts to resist the Nazi plan of total annihilation. "Rescue and Resistance" therefore played an integral role in opposing the destruction of European Jewry. Among those who resisted, sometimes with noteworthy results, were the Zionist youth movements. In the present volume, seventeen Israeli scholars, among the most reputed in their respective fields, give a comprehensive and up-to-date description and analysis of this subject. The studies include all European countries, with emphasis on those not fully treated in previous research, and provide new information on the background of these youth movements and their activities in armed resistance and rescue activities.
