Love's Prisoner
Work detail
Eden and Gale: two sister’s who were aptly named, for Gale was wild, turbulent and demanding, while Eden was the quiet one, gentle and kind. Gale wanted money, power and luxury, and these seemed to be within her grasp when she met the handsome and magnetic Lafe Sheridan, already at thirty-six a near millionaire. But it was Eden who saw behind Lafe’s dynamic façade, to the lonely, poverty stricken Irish boy he once had been, and she loved him for the qualities he tried grimly to hide. It was a situation that threatened heartbreak — for Gale, willing to marry without love; for Lafe, whose meteoric career had bypassed love; and for Eden, whose love must be hidden deep within her.
