This collection of articles revisits French theater during the "Dark Years" of the Occupation, discussing the creations and receptions of certain pieces. The French theater of the Dark Years performed in a gray area: it neither resisted nor collaborated, but, paradoxically, it was the beginning of a golden age of French theater that would continue until the 1960s.
