Healthy, Resilient, and Sustainable Communities after Disasters
Work detail
"Healthy, Resilient, and Sustainable Communities After Disasters identifies and recommends strategies for integrating health considerations into recovery planning, both before and after disasters, to help mitigate disaster-related health impacts, seize opportunities for improving population health, and build resiliency for future incidents. The conceptual framework presented in this report lays the groundwork to achieve this goal and the report provides operational guidance for multiple sectors invovled in community planning and disaster recovery. With a shared health community vision, strategic planning that prioritizes health, and coordinated implementation, disaster recovery can result in communities that are healthier, more livable places for current and future generations to grow and thrive - communities that are better prepared for future adversities"-- Back cover.
