The mystery of Tumult Rock
Work detail
Seventeen-year-old Patricia Armstrong, with her father and servants, sets out to spend a few weeks at a friend's hunting lodge high in the Rockies with some other acquaintances, including Hobart Conway, the famous pianist. The trip is idyllic at first, until Conway reports his practice being accompanied by a heavenly voice, and soon after is shot dead at his bench. Pat is determined to solve the mystery, which the authorities have decided was a hunting accident. SHe stumbles upon secrets that put her life and the life of many others in danger. A unusual juvenile, in that it centers around a murder. Contains racist stereotypes of the period.
