In 2019, the Museum Kunst der Westküste is celebrating its tenth anniversary! The MKdW is dedicated to maritime art created between 1830 and 1930 in the four countries bordering the North Sea: Norway, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands. The anniversary exhibition reveals the entire spectrum of the museum?s holdings and is complemented by works from other top-class collections. A century of painting is thus presented in which important artistic developments of the modern era broke new ground.
