Lucky's woman
Work detail
He claimed he loved her but had to leave. She said she adored him but wouldn't follow. So, with wrenching finality, roughhewn "Lucky" Verret and his ladylike wife Summer went their separate ways: he to his beloved Louisiana bayou; she to cocoon herself herself in suddenly hollow luxury. Then she's thrust back into Lucky's arms--in the backwoods swamp she loathes. Bedeviled by mosquitoes, alligators, and a raccoon named Alphonse, she nonetheless struggles to 'be woman enough for the earthy, virile Lucky she never stopped loving. Her pluckiness earns his admiration and rekindles their passion ... until Lucky uncovers the real reason Summer's changed her ways...
