Evidence-Based Care for Normal Labour and Birth
A Guide for Midwives
Walsh examined the evidence-based research surrounding labor and delivery and compared it to common practices. She generally finds the medical practices to be lacking in the context of a normal, healthy childbirth. The target audience is the childbirth professional, namely midwives, but pregnant women would find the book incredibly useful for supporting their decision to have a natural, drug and intervention-free birth.
