Treats of one of the most sublime themes of revelation: the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the souls of the just. The divine indwelling is basic in the teaching of St. John and St. Paul. The mode of this indwelling has absorbed theological thought from earliest times to our own day. It is a mystery within a mystery; and this work surveys the Scriptures, the Fathers and the insights of the great theologians to bring us to a deeper and more appreciative understanding of the problem and of the reality of grace. Shows that the Spirit of Wisdom has enabled us to lift the divine veil so that we can regain that spirit of awe which is the beginning of wisdom.
