Get up and go
Work detail
"Dr. G. H. Pearson spent very many years in China as a medical missionary. He now writes of his exciting and unusual times in that country, providing a clear record through the years of change in a part of China which has few records in the English language. It was in 1920 Dr. Pearson began pioneer Christian medical work with the Methodist Missionary Society in Hunan, China. He had to design and build as well as run a modern hospital. He was confronted with floods, fires, civil war and banditry. And in 1949 he again found himself at work under a Communist revolution. Yet his work of serving the people continued and progressed."--Dust jacket slip
