*« La minute d’avant, la révolution est impossible ; la minute d’après, elle est inévitable. »* Cette phrase attribuée à Rosa Luxemburg a souvent été citée pour dire la fulgurance des soulèvements et leur logique d’apparition soudaine et spontanée. Mais elle dit surtout ce point de rupture où les lois du réel se fendent, où ce qu’on croyait immuable se délie, où l’impossible trouve une brèche et s’y engouffre. La révolution, en ce sens, n’est pas une mécanique organisée mais s’apparente plutôt à un saut dans le vide, un acte de foi, un geste mystique autant que politique. Elle est littéralement… un miracle. Et ce miracle fonde le sol des prochaines foulées, nimbées de l’énergie métaphysique qui alimente les grands mouvements de l’Histoire. On rira de cette lecture. On la rangera, au mieux, du côté d’une exaltation poétique, au pire, d’une niaiserie mystique. La gauche occidentale accrochée à ses fétiches d’émancipation — le matérialisme, le rationalisme, la laïcité, le sécularisme — s’est faite prêtresse d’une autre foi : celle qui nous enferme dans un monde sans transcendance, sans dehors, sans autre horizon que la répétition de la machine.
