Imagine the extreme south of Cornwall a hundred years ago when it was a remote area with most people earning a living from farming and fishing. Into that region there arrive two teams which set up buildings on the cliff tops alongside which they erect tall masts from the heights of which run wires to the buildings. The leader of these teams is destined to become world famous and one day to be awarded a Nobel Prize; he is Guglielmo Marconi and he is setting up two wireless stations to further the development and applications of his equipment.
