Rubbish - hack quality diary of an egotist describes it well. Mr Sharp brings no insights into his life or anything else; he's just copied out the entries he made in his diary, like lists of menus when he went out to eat. It's repetitive - one story is repeated 3 times, others twice. Shame that when you are paying for this to be published, they might at least give you an editor who reads it and picks up such basic errors. He's done 49 cruises, you know, and so a huge plug for Fred Olsen. Unlike a decent diarist he contributes nothing to our understanding of anything, apart from his narcissism. He focuses solely on his own preoccupations, and as a God-botherer and a half he's not quite confused about how far his life is a result of his own ability or of deity-inspired direction. Perhaps God could do the right thing by us all and take him to his bosom soon.
