Margaret feels invisible among her many brothers and sisters, and longs for attention. When she is diagnosed with tuberculosis and sent to live on her aunt and uncle's farm, Margaret finds friendship in Starr, the farm's Clydesdale horse. With a sense of home on the farm, Margaret can be herself and pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian.
