The second organization of the International Meeting Archivos fuera de lugar. Desbordes discursivos, expositivos y autorales del documento, held at the Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo (UNAM) in collaboration with Ex Teresa Arte Actual (INBA), summons the reflection of various agents linked to the practice of archive -from contemporary art and other practices that they cross- to present concrete cases and positions. This publication gathers the reflections of artists, historians, curators, museographers, philosophers and lawyers from Argentina, Chile, Spain, United States and Mexico around 3 main topics: "Documentar el presente. Desbordes del arte contemporáneo" (Document this. Overflows of contemporary art) is about the uses of archival and countercultural historiography; "Desplegar / emplazar / espacializar" (Deploying / placing / spatializing) problematizes the museological decisions related to the exhibition of file (s) and finally, "(i)legalidades del documento " ((i) legalities of the document) tries to broaden the conversations about the legal gaps and the problems around the copyright that have been opened in contemporary artistic practices related to the archive.
