Las masculinidades en la transición
Work detail
In tune with the growing interest in the study of masculinity in the field of humanities and social sciences, the essays and investigations in this volume treat an especially significant period of recent Spanish history. Following the death of Franco in 1975 and the 1979 repeal of many articles of the law of social rehabilitation and danger (1970) that had been used to persecute and criminalize lesbians, homosexuals, and transsexuals by the dictatorship, a period opened of important transformations, examined here under the light of cultural studies and queer theory.
