"In an introductory note, author explains the genesis of his latest poem as an allegory of the search for adventure, compared with the lack of adventure of contemporary modern life , i.e., contrasting the Homeric seafaring Odyssus with the urban Joycean Ulysses. Work is inspired by a canto from Dante's Inferno about the last voyage of Odyssus. Story's basic framework is a semilogical model: the violation of interdiction, the adversary of which is destiny or God, with elements from the medieval Greco-Latin tradition"--Handbook of Latin American Studies, v. 58.
