Sherri Travis, a bartender in Jacaranda, Florida, is separated from her social register husband, Jimmy, and even though Sherri and her mother-in-law think they don't belong together he won't stay gone. But when a boat with Jimmy on it explodes and a witness puts Sherri on the Suncoaster hours before it went boom, then add in a quarter million dollar insurance policy, and Sherri becomes the suspect du jour. She didn't do it, but as she digs into Jimmy's past she discovers more than a few people who wanted him dead.
