Penny Weaver begins the empty nest phase of her life with a two week vacation in a bed and breakfast in Wales. When a German guest is murdered, Penny and Detective Inspector Kenneth Morgan work together on solving the case, a task made more difficult by the distrust of Germans in post-World War II Britain.
