Pisco, through the centuries has been present in art, has been surrounded by a cultural environment has been a source of inspiration for painters, musicians, poets and writers, as well as scholars of the history of this important liquor "peruanisimo" of colonial origin. Pancho Fierro, who is considered one of the most noted of 19th century artists depicting daily life and manners of 19th century Lima in his watercolors, was also seduced by pisco. The book is historical, artistic and economic and includes the varietal grapes used for Pisco. Throughout its 300 pages, the book presents examples that would show the insertion of Pisco in Peru's national identity, as is the case with traditions, art, music, dance, literature, painting, inter other cultural events.
