Richard James could only faintly remember his twin brother. The two boys had been separated early in life and brought up in foster homes, unknown to each other. Athough Dick's foster parents were wonderful to him and he loved them dearly, somehow he couldn't bring himself to accept their beliefs concerning Christ. Dick rebelled against the proddings of the Spirit of God because of his deep seated anger against God for the tragedy of his early life. Then, in college, Dick met Nancy Crawford, vivacious beauty queen, whose beauty came from an inner glow that radiated from her love for Christ. Though attracted to Dick, she had to call off their romance because of Dick's smouldering antipathy for everything spiritual. Dick sought to go on without Nancy, but found that life had lost its purpose and become merely existence. Even an occasional light romance failed to add sparkle to his dull, daily routine. Things became even more difficult for Dick when he noticed Nancy's interest in Brad who shared her desire for spiritual things. This is the conflict which brings Dick to the point of capitulation after he makes a surprising discovery. - Jacket flap.
