Presents the results of a detailed geological study of the sea floor in western Massachusetts Bay. The study was initiated in 1989 to evaluate the area around the proposed outfall for Boston's treated sewage effluent. Using the Mapper software included on the CD-ROM disk, users can access the data, which include bathymetry, sidescan-sonar images, color photographs, textual information, and an interpretive geologic map.
