Horst
Work detail
A beautifully produced monograph which brings together the most outstanding images of Horst's oeuvre. Horst's first photo for Vogue appeared in 1931. Sixty years later, when this book was published, he was still taking photographs. His extensive output is revealed here - the fashion shots, the society portraits, the exquisite nudes, the theatrical still lifes, the Vogue covers, the travel photography (including Iran) and the interior shots. All of the 200 photos featured in the book are reproduced on a single-page plate making this one of the most complete albums of Horst's work. Martin Kazmaier's essay offers an overview of Horst's life and work and the book concludes with a timeline biography.
