Critical care nurse Kate Manion can’t remember anything about the accident that put her in the intensive care unit of the same St. Louis hospital that employs her. She can remember, however, that the nurse presently assigned to her--unaffectionately known as “Atilla the Buns”--is the last caregiver any sane person would ever want.
