I picked this one online after reading a review by Big Skeeter. This is an unusual but exciting supernatural detective psycho drama if I have my terminology right. Much of the novel deals with Texas, it's issues, and the general theme of freedom without preaching. The action, passion, and plot are intricately woven together to force the reader into a ride they won't forget. Once I latched on, and it wasn't hard because the threats start early, I couldn't put it down. With a little advertisement and promotion this could have been a big hit and made for a thriller of a movie. All I can say to the reader is hold onto your hat and don't read if you're alone and don't like to be scared because at times the hair on my neck stood up. This wild but intelligent tale ends as well as it starts and leaves room for a sequel, and that's a good thing. A thrilling read and unusual find among detective or police procedural genre because it is so much more.
