Paris Hermitage
Work detail
This--Pa. LaC. E's first monograph--documents the architectural project Paris Hermitage: a building as a large temporal oscillator constituted by quartz articulations, where citizens go to restore their rhythms of work, rest, and wakefulness. The book is divided into three sections. The first contains two essays detailing the site's history, the use of its spaces and its effect on those who inhabit it; followed by original plans integrated with explorations in drawing, photography and reference imagery. The publication culminates with color video and digital stills that document the processes of making--as well as the life--of the hermitage.
