"The aim of the Haiti Cultural Recovery Project was to rescue, recover, safeguard, and help restore Haitian cultural materials damaged and endangered by the January 12, 2010 earthquake and its aftermath, and train Haitians in conservation skills so they could carry on that work into the future.
