A beautiful book portraying gorgeous pictures of the ever so popular Blythe doll. Blythe was a doll designed by Allison Katzman in 1972 and was produced by toy company Kenner but her first debut was very disappointing. Blythe was taken off the shelves after only one year as the dolls large eyes weren't attractive to young girls-they actually found them to be kind of scary. Years later Gina Garan changes the way the world feels about Blythe dolls with this book by photographing the fashionista doll in many different fun looks and creative, colorful styles. As a result of this book, Blythe is amongst the most popular dolls in the world and is still being produced today as a highly sought after, high end, unique doll for adult collectors worldwide.
