Between 1865 and 1871, the Quartermaster General's Department published the Roll of Honor, a 27-volume series of burial lists which contains the names of about 170,000 Union soldiers who died during the Civil War. The Roll of Honor, Vol. VI covers: Eastern District of Texas, Central District of Texas; Rio Grande District, Dept. of Texas; Camp Ford, Tyler TX; and Corpus Christi TX.
