Told in their separate voices, Henry, who prefers "hook-ups" to dating, and Garrett, who has often been dumped, meet as seniors at a Long Island, New York, high school where Henry falls in love but Garrett, to prove herself to the popular clique, agrees to gain his love then publicly dump him.
