It's about the so called `Special Music School for Extremaly Gifted Children` in Riga. From this school (college) come among others Armands Ābols, Ilze Graubiņa, Filips Hiršhorns (Philip(pe) Hirschhorn), Inga Kalna, Gidon Kremer, Andris Nelsons, Georgs Pelēcis, Māris Sirmais, Baiba Skride, Pēteris Vasks. The compiler Inese Žune herself and some lecturers describe the general history of school, the departments (piano, strings, wind-instruments, percussion, music theory) and musical units (orchestras, boy's choir, ensembles). The complete register of all alumni (1950-2005) and lecturers (1945-2005) is given and summaries in English, German, Russian as well.
