The Phelps Family of America and their English ancestors
Work detail
This is a two volume set about the Phelps family that immigrated from England. There are numerous mistakes in the book; however, it can be used as a starting point for anyone interested in the Phelps ancestry. The books led me to my son's ancestors and with a little digging and conversation, I found the answers to why my son's great father named his Chicago bowling alley, Vermont Bowl. It is written by an ancestor of the Phelps family. I am unable to figure out how he obtained all of the information he did, but I am thankful the book existed when I began my obsessive journey into the world of my son's ancestors.. Good Hunting. TJP
